Nellikkampoyil Night Riders out on OTT: Here's where to watch Mathew Thomas' horror comedy online

Another Malayalam horror comedy has made its debut on ZEE5. Nellikkampoyil Night Riders, starring Mathew Thomas in the lead role, became available on the platform as well as on OTTplay Premium from February 6 with English subtitles.

The horror comedy made its digital debut three months after its theatrical release on October 24 last year. Nellikkampoyil Night Riders had a lacklustre run at the box office and opened to mixed reception from both critics and the audience. As a result, more people are anticipated to visit the streaming platforms to watch this movie this weekend. Recently, a web series of the same genre called 'Inspection Bungalow' and another horror comedy film starring Arjun Ashokan 'Sumathi Valavu' started to stream on these sites. It's interesting to note that the final hit of 2025, Sarvam Maya, falls into the same genre and is currently available on JioHotstar and OTTplay Premium. 

The Noufal Abdullah-directed movie is undoubtedly a good horror comedy, but it lacks many distinctive aspects, according to OTTplay's review. The film transports viewers to a small town with many strange individuals and a masked intruder, with just the right amount of humour and jump scares. The other main actors in this film are Roshan Shanavas, Sarath Sabha, Vishnu Agasthya, Meenakshi Unnikrishnan, Merin Philip, and Rony David.

What is Nellikkampoyil Night Riders all about?

The residents of the small town of Nellikampoyil, who are mostly quirky and superstitious, live in constant fear and see many strange occurrences during nighttime. Many claim to have seen a spirit at night, and they believe that Kooli, a godlike being who guards them against bad powers, roams around in their region at odd times. Meanwhile, a mysterious apparition with a horse's legs and a man's body confronts Shyam, who has a terror of the dark due to a childhood ghost encounter. The film's primary plot centers on Shyam and his friends' attempts to face their deepest fears and save their hometown.
