Mathew Thomas is playing the lead role in the upcoming Malayalam horror comedy, Nellikkampoyil Night Riders, which will hit the big screen soon this month. The young star discussed the causes of the production delay for Premalu 2 in an interview with Manorama Online.

The Bromance star stressed that since the movie received a lot of positive reviews from cinephiles globally, there would be high expectations for the sequel, and the makers are working harder to live up to them. "You can't start working on a sequel right away. More prominent figures are expected to appear and the producers have big plans for Premalu 2," he stated. Mathew added that bringing together all the artistes might also be the cause of the delay, particularly because Naslen and Mamitha Baiju are busy working on other projects.
Naslen is becoming increasingly popular as a result of his most recent movie, Lokah Chapter 1-Chandra, which is playing well in theatres across the world. Alappuzha Gymkhana, his other 2025 film, is currently available for streaming on OTTplay and Sony LIV. It was a big office hit as well.
