Nelson gives a major update on Rajinikanth's Jailer: 'We are coming soon'

Director Nelson has recently provided an exciting update on his upcoming movie Jailer, which stars Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role. "Rajinikanth sir has completed shooting for Jailer, and the movie is in the final stages of production. So we are coming soon," said Nelson.

What makes Jailer even more exciting is its star-studded cast, which includes some of the biggest names from across the Indian film industry. Nelson has managed to pull off a casting coup by bringing in Malayalam superstar Mohanlal for a key role. Fans are eagerly awaiting the first-time onscreen collaboration of Rajinikanth and Mohanlal in Jailer.

Apart from Rajinikanth and Mohanlal, Jailer also features a star-studded ensemble cast comprising Shivarajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Sunil, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Vinayakan, among others. The film is expected to hit the cinemas later this year.

Jailer is a crucial movie for director Nelson, who faced criticism for his last release, Beast, starring Tamil superstar Vijay. However, with Jailer, Nelson is expected to redeem himself as a director. The permission to shoot the movie without any pressure of a deadline has allowed Nelson to take his time and make sure that the movie comes out well.

It's said that Nelson had to make a lot of compromises on Beast as he had a deadline to meet. The release date of Beast was announced as April 13, 2022, leaving Nelson with no option but to keep the movie ready for the release. The movie was released to packed houses but failed to get reviews. Despite mixed reviews, the movie emerged as one of the highest-grossing Tamil movies of 2022. The commercial success of Beast was a testament to Vijay's stardom. However, Nelson's reputation as a promising director took a hit. 

Will Nelson regain the lost ground with Jailer? Only time will tell.
