Looks like the makers of big ticket Tamil films are now showing a keen interest on releasing their projects in multiple languages. The success of Telugu flick Pushpa in other industries has become an eye opener for Kollywood filmmakers. It was heard recently that the team of Ajith-starrer Valimai is planning to release in it Telugu and Hindi.
Now, the makers of Vijay-starrer Beast are also coming up with similar plans. The action flick, which has Pooja Hegde playing the female lead, is expected to hit the screens in April 2022. The movie is director Nelson Dilipkumar's third project after Kolamavu Kokila (streaming on Zee5) and Doctor (streaming on Netflix).
According to sources, Beast is likely to be released in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. The advantage for the makers is that they have ample time for post production and preparing for the release in other languages unlike team Pushpa who had some last minute confusions.
A few days ago, Sun Pictures, which is bankrolling the project, revealed that both Vijay and Pooja Hegde have wrapped up their portions. The team has revealed only one working still from the movie till date apart from the official first look and second look which were unveiled on Vijay's birthday a few months ago.
With biggies like KGF: Chapter 2 and Ponniyin Selvan, too, eyeing a release date on April 2022, it has to be seen if all these films will make it to theatres as planned. Vijay's last outing was Lokesh Kanagaraj's Master (streaming on Amazon Prime Video).
He is all set to begin his next, which is tentatively titled Thalapathy 66, under the direction of Vamshi Paidipally, soon. To be produced by Dil Raju, the project is tipped as a bilingual which will be high on emotions.
