It was announced a couple of days ago that the first look and title of Udhayanidhi Stalin's next project, directed by Arunraja Kamaraj, will be released on October 16. The movie is riding on good expectations for two reasons; the film is the remake of Bollywood hit flick Article 15 (streaming on Netflix), directed by Anubhav Sinha.
Secondly, this is likely to be the first release of Udhayanidhi after he became an MLA in Tamil Nadu for the first time, in the Assembly Elections held earlier this year. Producer Boney Kapoor, who is bankrolling the project under the banner of Bayview Projects, along with Zee Studios and Romeo Pictures, unveiled its title, along with a motion poster, the duration of which is one-and-a-half minutes.
Titled Nenjukku Needhi, the poster of the movie which has Aari, Tanya Ravichandran, Shivani Rajashekar, Yamini Chander, Suresh Chakravarthi and Ilavarasan among others in key roles, features the tag line' Born Equal'. Dinesh Krishnan has cranked the camera for the project which has Dhibu Ninan Thomas composing music. The latter had teamed up with Arunraja in his first directorial film Kanaa (streaming on Disney+ Hotstar) as well. Stunner Sam and Ruben have handled action sequences and editing respectively for Nenjukku Needhi.
Arunraja, who had tried his hands at singing, lyric writing and acting, too, was last seen in VijaySethupathi-Aishwarya Rajesh's Ka Pae Ranasingam (streaming on Zee5). The popular song Kutti Story from Master (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) was the last track for which he had penned lyrics.
Udhay, who was last seen in Mysskin's hit film Psycho (streaming on Netflix), has Kannai Nambathey, Angel and and untitled movie with Magizh Thirumeni. On the other hand, Tanya, who is making her Telugu debut with Raja Vikramarka, will be next seen in Maayon, in which she is paired opposite Sibiraj.
