Netflix recently announced the slate for the year 2024, and everybody was left excited to see a range of projects being announced. But soon, everyone realized that a primary project that had been making news for a very long time was missing from the slate. Chakda Xpress starring Anushka Sharma has been in the news for close to three years, and the movie, as per reports, even wrapped up shooting in 2022 by the end of the year.
But there has been no news about the same. But mostly recently a report read that there have been some problems between producer Karnesh Ssharma and Netflix, which has not led to them parting ways from the partnership that gave us some of the very interesting content on the streaming platform.
Clean Slate Filmz & Netflix Part Ways?
It was earlier reported that Anushka Sharma’s brother Karnesh, who is now the head of Clean Slate Filmz after Anushka stepped down, has parted ways with Netflix. Later it was said that the two had creative disagreements and budgetary issues. There were no confirmations of these rumors, and neither did the two parties reveal anything about their separation. A report in Times Entertainment now adds to these reports with an update that says that two parties have indeed decided to separate and that too mutually with no drama involved.
The report says that things were not working out between Karnesh Ssharma and Netflix with the upcoming two projects including Anushka Sharma starrer Chakda Xpress and Afghani Snow. One of the biggest reasons for the split is said to be that Karnesh’s production house went too overboard with the budget of both projects, and the streamer did not like the way both projects shaped up, which led to disagreements between the two.
About Chakda Xpress & Afghani Snow
Chakda Xpress starring Anushka Sharma is cricketer Jhulan Goswami’s biopic that stars Anushka as the ace player. The film was supposed to be the actor’s comeback to the screen after a long break as her last release was Zero in 2018 alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. The movie has already wrapped up shooting, and there was also a teaser for the same released.
As for Afghani Snow, it is an action drama show that is being helmed by Anshai Lal, who has been Karnesh Ssharma’s long-time collaborator.
