Netflix India is continuing to grow its library of original content with the addition of another anthology. As per the latest reports, the popular anthology series Lust Stories will return for a third season on the global streaming giant. The show will continue to explore topics of female sexuality through a variety of compelling storytelling.
Production and potential directors
Ashi Dua's Flying Unicorn Entertainment and Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies will produce the anthology. As per reports in Peeping Moon, while they don't yet have confirmation, rumour has it that highly regarded filmmakers like Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra, and Vikramaditya Motwane are in early talks to helm the new storylines. Despite the lack of final casting, fans anticipate a strong ensemble cast featuring some of Bollywood's most popular actors in this new season.
Lust Stories 3 will continue the tradition of its predecessors by presenting four captivating stories that explore themes of love, passion, power, and social standing. While remaining faithful to the franchise's roots, the new season seeks to innovate by showcasing genuine depictions of strong women who fearlessly pursue their aspirations despite the challenges they face in their emotional lives. With a planned launch on Netflix in the early new year, filming is anticipated to begin in the first part of this year.

Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, and Dibakar Banerjee were the directors of the 2018 streaming season, which had an ensemble cast that included, among others, Sanjay Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, Manisha Koirala, Kiara Advani, Radhika Apte, Bhumi Pednekar, and Kiara Advani.
Notable actors like Kajol, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vijay Varma, Mrunal Thakur, Tillotama Shome, Neena Gupta, and Amruta Subhash were among those who appeared in "Lust Stories 2" five years later in 2023. The helmers of Season 2 were R. Balki, Amit Sharma, Sujoy Ghosh, and Konkona Sen Sharma.
