Actor Arun Vijay expressed his gratitude towards the audience for their positive response to his latest film, Mission: Chapter 1- Achcham Enbadhu Illaiye. The film, which also stars Nimisha Sajayan and Amy Jackson in lead roles, was released in theatres on January 12.
“A divine start!! Thanks for the wonderful response for Mission: Chapter 1,” he wrote on social media, along with photos of him, Amy Jackson, and director A L Vijay at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore.
There was not much hype around the film prior to its release as highly anticipated Tamil films like Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan and Dhanush's Captain Miller were also set to release on the same day. However, the film is expected to mark the comeback of director AL Vijay, following a number of box office failures in recent years.
On Twitter, users discussed Mission: Chapter 1- Achcham Enbadhu Illaiye, praising it as a decent action thriller. Although the film's action scenes and captivating storyline won praise from many, its predictable plot made some commenters suggest that it should only be watched once.
“Went in with no expectations, came out happy,” one wrote. Some even commended the director for his mastery of creating a pure action film in Tamil.
