Telugu: Mowgli
Roshan Kanakala stars in the titular role, an orphan, who dreams of becoming a cop. When a film crew arrives in his village for a shoot, Mowgli is given the chance to be a dupe. He also meets a petite but mute girl Jasmine, and sparks fly. But trouble begins as the film producer too wants Jasmine, and Mowgli reaches out to save her. But more trouble awaits the couple as a cop chases after them. Sakshi Mhadolkar plays the female lead in this Telugu film, while Bandi Saroj Kumar plays the ruthless cop.
Tamil: LBW
As the title suggests, LBW revolves around the sport of cricket and how an underdog team seeks to make a mark. Actor Vikrant plays Rangan, once a promising cricket star, who is now a coach. Through his team’s victory, he seeks to regain his lost legacy as well. The Tamil series is ongoing, with the first four episodes dropping last week.
Malayalam: Ithiri Neram
Anish was on his way for a drinks party with his friends, when he gets a call from his former girlfriend Anjana. He drops all his other plans, and heads out to meet her. The unexpected meeting soon turns into a memorable night for the couple as they rekindle past memories and rue over their present situations. Roshan Mathew and Zarin Shihab deliver a beautiful performance in this movie, which deserves to be on our watchlist even as another Malayalam film, the thriller Eko, hogs much attention online.
Punjabi: Happy Khush Ho Gaya
This Punjabi film revolves around Happy, a petty crook, who seeks to con a wealthy family by pretending to be a reincarnation of one of their members. However, his well-crafted plan goes for a toss when the elderly wife of the man returns and chaotic events follow. From the writers of the popular Carry on Jatta, the film promises to loads of laughter and fun.
