Director Vysakh's thriller Night Drive is all set to get its OTT release in April. The movie, which has Indrajith Sukumaran, Roshan Mathew and Anna Ben as its lead actors, released in theatres last month and opened to generally positive reviews.

Scripted by Abhilash Pillai, the movie follows the story of a young journalist and an Uber driver - played by Anna and Roshan, respectively - and how their lives intersect with that of a police officer and a politician, who is set to be arrested on the charge of smuggling, in a span of one night.

Sidhique, Alexander Prashanth, Shaju Sreedhar, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Renji Panicker and Kailash are also part of the movie, which was shot entirely during the pandemic.

Vysakh, who had earlier helmed Mohanlal's Pulimurugan and Mammootty's Madhuraraja, chose to work with the young stars in the film as its subject demanded such artistes, he had earlier told us. For both Roshan and Anna - who have been part of acclaimed movies such as Kappela, Kumbalangi Nights, C U Soon, Sara's and Kuruthi, Night Drive was a novel experience too as it marked their first all-out commercial film with 'mass' elements.

In an earlier interview with us, Anna said, "It was uncharted waters for Vysakh uncle and us to be honest. Compared to the movies that Roshan and I have done Night Drive delves into a different genre and style of making."

The movie, which marks a 'mass' hero turn for Roshan, is set to drop on two OTT platforms - Netflix and Manorama Max - on April 10. Roshan, incidentally, is also part of Alia Bhatt's upcoming movie Darlings, which will also release directly on Netflix soon. Meanwhile, Anna Ben's latest release Naradan is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The film has her playing another strong character, as a lawyer who takes a headstrong media honcho to court.
