Night Riders: Mathew Thomas' horror comedy to hit the big screen on this date

The upcoming Malayalam movie Night Riders' makers have revealed an updated release date. The film is reportedly scheduled for a big-screen premiere next month.

On October 10, the horror comedy, in which Mathew Thomas plays the protagonist, will be released in theatres. Some of the most awaited films, including Pranav Mohanlal-starrer Dies Irae will debut in the same month, even though no other Malayalam film has been scheduled to release on the same date as of yet. In addition to Malayalam, Night Riders is reportedly going to be released in theatres in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Cast and crew of Night Riders

Night Riders marks the directorial debut of acclaimed editor Noufal Abdullah. He is well-known for working in some of the popular Malayalam films such as The Great Father, Kettiyolaanu Ente Malakha, and Anuraga Karikkin Vellam. The makers are expected to release a trailer shortly. Night Riders was written by Jyothish M and Sunu A V, who also wrote Pranaya Vilasam's script. 

The female protagonist in this Mathew Thomas film will be played by Meenakshi Unnikrishnan, who became popular for her performance in the coming-of-age film, Vaazha. Abu Salim, Rony David Raj, Roshan Shanavas, Sharath Sabha, Merin Philip, Sinil Zainuddin, Noushad Ali, Chaithra Praveen, and Naseer Sankranti will all have supporting roles in the movie. The director of this film oversaw the editing, and Abhilash Shankar is the cinematographer. The original music and score for the movie were created by Neha S Nair and Yakson Gary Pereira. 

In stark contrast to his prior appearances, Mathew Thomas was depicted in the posters of Night Riders in a defiant character. Sukhamano Sukhamanu, the actor's other film, is also anticipated to hit theatres shortly. Arun Lal Ramachandran is both the director and writer of the film, which is billed to be a feel-good romantic comedy. In the film, supporting roles are played by Devika Sanjay, Jagadish, Sphadikam George, Kudassanad Kanakam, Nobi Marcos, Akhil Kavalayoor, and Manikuttan.
