Nikhil Kumaraswamy has been away from the world of cinema owing to his commitment to his political career. Having made his debut in 2016 with Jaguar, Nikhil has acted only in four films thus far but none of those have yielded the kind of success that he would have liked. However, he forges on and continues to juggle both acting and politics with newer targets in sight.
The latest is that Nikhil Kumaraswamy will collaborate with the famed production house Lyca Productions for a pan-Indian project. The untitled film is said to be mounted on a big scale with August 23 as the chosen date for the formal launch or muhuratha ceremony. Other details of the film, such as the female lead and the remaining cast & crew, are yet to be divulged.
In the same vein come the speculations that a Tamil director will helm the project. Director Lakshman, who has previously made Tamil films Romeo Juliet, Bogan and Bhoomi, is currently rumoured to be associated with Nikhil Kumaraswamy's next film but this bit of information remains unconfirmed at the moment. Of course, more details will come to light once the film is launched later this month.

Regardless, the association with a reputed entity such as Lyca Productions promise to take Nikhil's career in a new and better direction, although one does hope to see the actor-politician pick better stories for his own good. Of the four films he has been part of so far, three have been action entertainers and the fourth, a mythology epic (Kurukshetra) but none of them have yielded great results at the box office.
Lyca Productions, on the other hand, is fresh off the success of ventures like Ponniyin Selvan and is now gearing up for a slate of super exciting releases such as Chandramukhi 2, Indian 2 and Lal Salaam.
