Nimagondu Sihi Suddi, a Kannada comedy that released in theatres almost a year ago is getting an OTT release. The film, written and directed by Raghu Bhat, who also played the lead, has been picked up by Cinebazzar OTT and will, in all likelihood, drop on the platform on January 23, 2026. An official announcement is expected shortly.

Is Nimagondu Sihi Suddi a remake?
Raghu’s film finds its roots in the 2007 Hindi movie Hey Baby, but with significant changes to the narrative, in which Raghu plays a high-flying chef Arjun Hebbar, who is also quite the Casanova. One night, he wakes up with severe abdomen pain and is rushed to hospital, where, between intense flashes of agony, he is told to prepare to have a baby and then passes out. When he regains consciousness at home, he dismisses it as a dream, until he finds baby in his house and what appears to be surgical scar on his abdomen.
The rest of the film follows Arjun’s attempts to find out who the child belongs to and the mystery behind the scar on his body, with a little help from his friend DD and the local inspector. Turns out that Arjun has reappeared after going missing 3 months ago and has literally no memory of what happened to him in that time. What happens when he retraces his steps is what the film is about.
Raghu is joined by Harini Sreekanth, Kavya Gowda, Sujay Shastry, Prajwal and Padmini Narasimhan, as well as Vijay Raghavendra in a pivotal cameo. The film has a run-time of 133 minutes only, and features music by Ashwin Hemanth and cinematography by Anand Sunderesha.
Nimagondu Sihi Suddi was initially meant to be an 8-episode web series. At the time, Sudhindra Nadigar R was onboard as director, with Raghu only meant to act. As a film, Nimagondu Sihi Suddi had received average reviews, with critics opining that the comedy was one of the major failings.
