Nirangal Moondru trailer: The rollicking promo video of Karthick Naren's next has Atharvaa oozing swag

AR Rahman and AR Murugadoss have unveiled the much-awaited trailer of Karthick Naren's forthcoming project Nirangal Moondru. The two-and-a-half minute promo video suggests that the movie's plot revolves around a teenage student, a cop, a teacher and an aspiring filmmaker. The film is also likely to revolve around a dream which changes the fortunes of all these characters.

Going by the trailer, it looks like Karthick has attempted a one-of-its-kind presentation for the film's story. K Karunamoorthy of Ayngaran International has bankrolled the project; makers are expected to announce the film's release date soon.

Nirangal Moondru marks the director's second outing with actor Rahman after his debut flick Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru. The film is also going to be the former's second theatrical release. His sophomore project, Naragasooran, is yet to see the light of the day.

His first direct-to-OTT film, Project Agni, a segment of Navarasa, dropped on Netflix in 2021. The young filmmaker's previous outing, Maaran, too, skipped theatrical release and was dropped on Disney+ Hotstar. Upon release, the thriller flick, starring Dhanush in the titular role, opened to poor reviews. Karthick had then come up with a cryptic post on his Instagram page, but then deleted it after a while.  

Nirangal Moondru, hence, carried good expectations when it was announced. Jakes Bejoy's music and Tijo Tomy's cinematography are two aspects which are expected to be highlights of the movie which has editing by Sreejith Sarang. Don Ashok has helmed stunt sequences for the project.

According to Karthick, the film is close to his heart. He took to his Twitter page to share the excitement of its trailer having unveiled and posted, "Presenting the trailer of ‘Nirangal Moondru’ - A hyperlink thriller. A script very close to my heart (sic)."
