Anna Ben-starrer Helen resulted in a dream debut for a lot of those involved in the movie including its director and scriptwriters Mathukutty Xavier, Noble Babu Thomas and Alfred Kurian Joseph. Two years after the thriller, the trio are set to join hands again for an upcoming movie that will have Noble and Mukesh in the lead.
The movie will mark the debut directorial of Alfred, who has also co-scripted the venture with Mathukutty. This will be Noble’s second movie as the male lead after Helen.
Noble had earlier this year starred and directed a popular music video Kanmani Kanmani from the album Made in Heaven that was composed by Shaan Rahman and rendered by Benny Dayal. In an earlier interview with OTTplay, Noble had told us that both Alfred and Mathukutty helped direct a few portions of the song that had him in front of the camera.
The upcoming movie will have Hridayam’s music director Hesham Abdul Wahab as its composer while Cherin Paul will be cranking the camera. The film is produced by Little Big Films, which has also backed Asif Ali’s upcoming movie Kunjeldho, which is directed by RJ Mathukutty and has Vineeth Sreenivasan as its creative director.
Kunjeldho is currently set for a Christmas theatrical release on December 24. Meanwhile, Mathukutty, who won the Indira Gandhi for Best Debut Film this year, has also completed the Bollywood remake of Helen starring Janhvi Kapoor. The film, produced by Boney Kapoor, is expected to release next year.
