O2 on Hotstar: Child actor Rithvik opens up about working with Nayanthara, thanks the film's crew

Debutant filmmaker GS Viknesh's O2 is set for a direct release on Disney+ Hotstar on June 17. Billed as a survival thriller, the movie stars Nayanthara in the lead, while child actor Rithvik who is popular through a few YouTube videos and Jaffer Idukki among others essay significant roles in it.

Rithvik, who plays Nayanthara's son in the project, suffers from breathing issues; how he struggles after a bus in which the two travel falls into a gorge forms the crux of the movie. The social media page of Dream Warrior Pictures, which has bankrolled the film, has released a short video of Rithvik talking about the project.

The excited young actor requests the audience to support him as he is making his acting debut with O2, and informs that the film is releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. He also expresses happiness on having worked with Nayanthara, and adds that he is in awe of her.

He says, "You must have seen me in YouTube videos. My first film O2 is releasing on June 17 in multiple languages. I'm happy to have acted along with Nayanthara. She really cared for me during the shooting, and I like her a lot. I thank director Viknesh, producers SR Prabhu and SR Prakash Babu for this opportunity."  

Thamizh A Azhagan and Selva RK have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the film which has music composed by Vishal Chandrasekar. The team has released a teaser, a trailer and two lyric videos from the movie which has a story set in Kerala-Tamil Nadu border.

O2 is the third OTT release for Nayanthara; Mookuthi Amman and Netrikann, which were released in 2020 and 2021 respectively, were her previous releases which skipped theatres. Both the films, too, dropped on Hotstar.
