It was announced recently that Oh My Dog, directed by Sarov Shanmugam, will be released directly on Amazon Prime Video on April 21. Arun Vijay and his son Arnav are playing lead roles in the film which marks the acting debut of the latter. Interestingly, Arun's father Vijaykumar is also essaying a crucial character in the movie.

Suriya and Jyotika's 2D Entertainment bankrolled the project which was completed long ago. The film was supposed to have an OTT release last December, but the release got postponed owing to reasons best known to the makers.

The makers have now unveiled its teaser. The one-minute has Arnav having a whale of a time with Simba, his pet dog in the movie. Oh My Dog revolves around the relationship between Arnav and Simba. How the former's family members help him strengthen his bond with the latter forms the movie's crux.

Mahima Nambiar is paired opposite Arun Vijay in the feel-good family drama. They were earlier seen together in Arivazhagan's Kuttram 23 a few years ago. Vinay Rai, who was seen in notable roles in Doctor and Etharkkum Thunindhavan recently, is another actor who has a meaty character to play in the movie.

Suriya, who released the teaser from his Twitter page, posted, "Introducing Arnav Vijay & his Simba.. #OhMyDogOnPrime April 21 see what they’re upto! ⁦(sic)." Oh My Dog is one among the four projects which the production house had signed a deal with Amazon Prime Video last year.

The other three movies released on the OTT platform in 2021, and movie buffs were wondering about the delay in Oh My Dog. With only two more weeks left for the project's release, fans of Suriya, Arun Vijay and other film buffs are excited to catch up the fun-filled drama.
