Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer OMG 2 was released on Friday, August 11 to compete against Gadar 2 in cinemas. On its first day, the satirical dramedy received a decent opening by minting over Rs 10 crore. The movie has been in controversies and headlines since its trailer video arrived, meanwhile, OMG 2 is now witnessing another backlash from a group of Hindu outfit.

According to a report on The Print, Agra's Rashtriya Hindu Parishad Bharat has accused Akshay of hurting religious sentiment through his film. The religious wing has also seen burning the actor's poster and conducting a rally in the city on Thursday. The people have demanded to take off OMG 2 from the theatres, otherwise, the protest will be going on for days.

Govind Parashar, the president of the Hindu group, has demanded a ban on the film and also announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for anyone, who will slap the actor for portraying the image of Lord Shiva with such an unacceptable depiction that tarnishes the image of the god.

By minting Rs 10.26 crore on the opening day, the satirical dramedy started off with a decent opening. However, the Sunny Deol starrer has earned around Rs 40 crore, which makes a huge commercial difference between both movies.

OMG 2, which also stars Yami Gautam as a lawyer named Kamini Maheshwari, is out in theatres now.
