On World Music Day, music maestro Ilaiyaraaja surprises fans by reacting to their comments on Twitter

Ilaiyaraaja, who joined Twitter a while ago, ensures that he comes up with some surprises for his hardcore fans across the world. On World Music Day today, the legendary musician took to social media to post a video which has him reading some of the comments his fans have put out on Twitter, leaving them excited like never before.

One of them tweeted that he couldn't control his tears while listening to the ever popular Kanne Kalaimane with his eyes closed, and added that no wonder Raja is hailed as the God of music. Raja thanked him and said that the music came naturally to him in just one or two minutes. He said, "Some songs naturally go straight to people's hearts. That is why they tear up while listening to such tracks."  

The song Dhanush crooned at the Rock with Raaja concert a few months ago went viral among Tamil music lovers. A fan of Raja was all praise for the song. The maestro said that the longevity of a song in one's mind is the biggest recognition for a music director and thanked him for the compliment. He also congratulated Dhanush for the success of the song.

The news of Ilaiyaraaja composing the Indian version of Stranger Things 4 theme had left his fans elated when the announcement was made a month ago. One of his fans mentioned that the crossover between Raja and Stranger Things is something he had never expected in his life. With a smile, Raja replied that every song is unexpected and that there is no fun otherwise.

When someone pointed out the popular combination of Chennai rains, onion pakoda, tea and Raja's music, he happily said that the magic behind music is that it reminds people of important events that happened in their life.
