Director Suni’s crime comedy was originally released in Kannada six years ago

Leading Telugu, Tamil OTT platform aha has constantly delivered on its promise of streaming a new film every week on Friday for over three years now. While the platform had premiered shows and films like Papam Pasivadu, Matti Katha recently and brings Sarvam Shakthi Mayam in Telugu and Tamil this week, they have another exciting release to sign off October on a high.
The much-celebrated Kannada crime comedy Operation Alamelamma is now coming to Telugu. aha has decided to premiere the Telugu version of the film with the same title on October 27. The timing of the release couldn’t have been more ideal. While Rishi is now familiar to Telugu audiences with the show Shaitan, Saindhav actress Shraddha Srinath needs no introduction to crowds here.

The film starts with a crime - a boy gets kidnapped and an innocent youngster Paramesh is trapped in the case. An orphaned Paramesh is an auctioneer at a vegetable market with a surprising interest in branded articles. One day, he bumps into a school teacher Ananya and catches her stealing a dress from a store. This eventually paves the way for their relationship to flourish.
How does Ananya deal with matchmaking at home? How will Parmesh manage his love life and the investigation? Watch Operation Alamelamma to know more. Rajesh Nataranga, Aruna Balaraj, Sumukha, Pranaya Murthy, Vijeth Gowda and Karthik play other pivotal roles in the film written and directed by Suni. The film was produced by Amrej Suryavanshi under Starfab and Suni Cinemas.
Operation Alamelamma turned out to be a surprise box office success at the time of its release, marking Rishi’s on-screen debut. The Kannada version of the film can be watched on Jio Cinema and Youtube. Reny scored the music for the film which had cinematography by Abhishek Kasaragod. Sachin Ravi edited the comedy.
