Oru Jaathi Jathakan stirs up controversy for its LGBTQ jibe

Recently, a case was filed against the makers of Oru Jaathi Jathakam for allegedly “humilaiting” and using derogatory language against the LGBTQ community. In the movie, Vineeth’s character Jayesh gets misunderstood as gay after he decides to call off a wedding.

Based on the box office figures published by the Kerala film producers, Oru Jathi Jaathakam is one of select few Malayalam movies that have managed to recover its producers’ investment this year. Vineeth, meanwhile, is gearing up to shoot his directorial, which is expected to be an action film that has Georgia as one of its prime locations.
