The Oscars 2024 fever has taken over the world, and there is no way any one of us can save ourselves from being excited about this. Over the years, the nominations have told the world what films to watch, and it became a ritual for many of us to do the race to Oscars and watch every possible film nominated for the big night. For many, the parameter for best films also became the ones nominated at The Academy Awards. So it is given that the movies that have turned out to be classics over the years and were also in contention for Oscars are indeed considered masterpieces.

Another competition that runs parallel to the same is the comparison of the number of nominations the film in the race garnered. For example, Christopher Nolan’s much-loved Oppenheimer this year has created history with the number of nominations it has received at the Oscars 2024. The Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr starrer has managed to bag 13 nominations, which is the highest this year followed by Poor Things, which has 11 in its kitty. Regardless of the wins they managed to bag, they have already made it big at the event.

So now as we are inching closer to the Oscars night with each passing minute, let us revisit five movies that have bagged the highest number of nominations and managed to even win the majority of the awards in various categories. Read on and probably watch a couple of them just in case you cannot contain your excitement.
