Rima Kallingal, who was last seen in Chithirai Sevvaanam, which had a direct release on Zee5 a week ago, believes OTT platforms is a big boon for filmmakers who wish to explore different topics. In an earlier chat with OTTplay, Rima noted that she's excited about the OTT boom as it offers more scope to connect with the audience.
She said, "It has enabled us to come up with projects which were once considered impossible to make. People were skeptical earlier when it comes to dealing with bold themes. Today, the OTT platforms have encouraged writers to experiment a lot with out-of-the-box subjects.

Fleabag
Created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, the British tragicomedy television series with two seasons of six episodes each, started premiering in 2016. The final season ended in 2019, and was opened to unanimous positive response from critics and the audience.
Starring Phoebe in the titular role, the series has Sian Clifford, Andrew Scott, Olivia Colman and Bill Paterson among others playing crucial roles in it. The series is about a woman who has to deal mental trauma following an unfortunate incident. Fleabag is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Mrs America
The historical drama, created by Dahvi Waller, has Cate Blanchett, Rose Byrne, Uzo Aduba, Elizabeth Banks and Kayli Carter essaying important roles in it. Set against a political backdrop, the series is based on Equal Rights Amendment.
All the nine episodes in the show begins with a disclaimer which says that certain scenes and characters have been fictionalized for creative purposes. Mrs America, which streamed for more than a month, had a premiere on Disney+ Hotstar.
The Fall
The taut crime thriller, created by Allan Cubitt, starred Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan in lead roles. The series, which has three episodes, started streaming in 2013. The second and third episodes, which has six episodes each, started streaming from 2014 and 2016 respectively.
The series, which went on to fetch a lot of awards, apart from the huge reception it garnered from the audience, was remade into French with the title Insoupçonnable. The Fall is currently streaming on Netflix.
World War 2 In Colour
The British television docuseries, which touched upon some of the intriguing moments from the Second World War, released in 2008. The 13-episode series, written by Jonathan Martin, features original and colour footage. The series has dealt with captivating moments of Western Front, Eastern Front, North African Campaign and the Pacific War.
Though the film is loved by many, including history enthusiasts, a few inaccuracies in it were pointed out by the viewers post its release. World War 2 In Colour is streaming on Netflix.
Killing Eve
The British spy thriller television series, based on Villanelle novel series by Luke Jennings, stars Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, Fiona Shaw, Darren Boyd and Owen McDonnell in lead roles. The three-season series, with eight episodes each, started streaming in 2018.
The third and final season ended in 2020, and it opened to positive response from both critics and the audience. The series revolves around an investigator who has been assigned with the task of nabbing a psycho killer. Killing Eve is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
