Pa Ranjith hosts screening of Natchathiram Nagargiradhu in Mumbai; Anurag Kashyap, Nandita Das spotted

Director Pa Ranjith seems to be confident about his forthcoming project Natchathiram Nagargiradhu which is hitting the screens on August 31. The movie is the filmmaker's theatrical release after a four-year hiatus. His last outing, Sarpatta Parambarai, had dropped directly on Amazon Prime Video.

Ahead of the release of Natchathiram Nagargiradhu, he organized a special screening of the movie in Mumbai which was attended by a few friends of his, including Anurag Kashyap, Nandita Das and Swara Bhaskar among others.

The social media handle of his production house Neelam Productions posted a few pictures of the guests who attended the screening. We hear that the crowd was impressed with the movie and Anurag was all praise for Pa Ranjith's vision and making style. Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan and Kalaiyarasan who play lead roles in the film, also accompanied Ranjith to the event.

Natchathiram Nagargiradhu is said to be a love story which revolves around a group of youngsters who work in a theatre group. One of the movie's highlights is said to be the sensitive manner in which LGBTQIA relationships are depicted like never before in Tamil cinema.

Ranjith himself has produced the film along with Vignesh Sundaresan and Manoj Leonel Jahson under Neelam Productions and Yaazhi Films. Hari Krishnan, Vinoth, Subathra Robert and Shabeer Kallarakkal among others essay important characters in the project which is releasing along with Vikram's Cobra in theatres.

Kishor Kumar and Selva RK have handled cinematography and editing respectively for Natchathiram Nagargiradhu which has art direction by L Jayaragu. Stunner Sam has choreographed action sequences for the film which has dance sequences composed by Sandy. Unlike Ranjith's previous projects, Tenma has composed music for the movie.
