Pa Ranjith's next production venture titled J Baby; Urvashi, Dinesh and Maaran play lead roles

Director Pa Ranjith has been signing films back-to-back as a producer. After bankrolling Samuthirakani-starrer Writer (streaming on aha Tamil), he had produced Kalaiyarasan-starrer Kuthiraivaal which hit the screens recently. Now, he has announced his next production venture, which has been titled J Baby.

Tipped as a family drama with ample dose of comedy and slew of emotions, the project has Urvashi, Maaran and Dinesh playing lead roles in it. Its story revolves around a mother and her two sons. Suresh Mari has directed the movie which has Tony Britto composing music and Jayanth Sethu Mathavan cranking the camera.

Along with the title reveal, Ranjith also released the project's first look poster which features the three lead actors seen together sharing light-hearted moments. PC Stunts has choreographed action scenes for the movie which has Ramu Thangaraj helming art direction. 

Shanmugam Velusamy has edited the project which has lyrics penned by Kabilan, Umadevi and Vivek. Though Urvashi, Dinesh and Maaran essay pivotal roles, J Baby is primarily said to be the journey of the titular character played by Dinesh. The actor had played the lead role in Ranjith's debut vehicle Attakathi, too. Last seen in Naanum Single Thaan, he has Karuppu Pulsar and Pallu Padama Paathuka in his kitty.  

Urvashi, on the other hand, has around half a dozen movies in her kitty, including a few much-expected projects. Director Ranjith, who last directed Arya's Sarpatta Parambarai (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), will next helm Chiyaan 61 (tentative title) which has Vikram playing the lead role. Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green is producing the project. 

With Sivakarthikeyan filing a legal petition against Gnanavel for the delayed pending salary of Mr Local, movie buffs are eagerly awaiting to see if Chiyaan 61 will go on floors without any hassles.
