Pallichattambi release date: Tovino Thomas film to hit theatres a week after Mohanlal's Drishyam 3 in April 2026

Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas’ upcoming movie Pallichattambi has just announced its release date. Helmed by Dijo Jose Antony, the film will release in theaters on April 9, 2026. Notably, Pallichattambi comes exactly a week after Mohanlal's much-anticipated movie, Drishyam 3. The makers of Pallichattambi also shared a motion poster, featuring the lead star.

When will Pallichattambi release

Tovino Thomas, who had a mixed bag of releases in 2025, would be looking for a great start to 2026 with his upcoming film Pallichattambi, hitting theatres on April 9 as a summer and festival release. The film, which also stars Kayadu Lohar, is placed between the Easter and the Vishu festival in Kerala. The period drama film will be following Mohanlal's Drishyam 3, which releases in theatres on April 2.

Who are the actors in Pallichattambi

Pallichattambi is an action-packed period drama, which is set during the 1950-60s period. Apart from Tovino and Kayadu Lohar in the lead roles, the film also features senior actors Vijayaraghavan, Sudheer Karamana, Baburaj, Prashanth Alexander and Vinod Kedamangalam.

Actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran is making a cameo appearance in the upcoming movie. Prithviraj had last collaborated with Tovino in his directorial, L2 Empuraan. Prithviraj has also played the lead role in director Dijo Jose Antony's hit film, Jana Gana Mana.

Jakes Bijoy, who has been in the limelight after the success of Lokah, is composing the music for the upcoming film as well.

Which are the other Malayalam films releasing in April 2026

Drishyam 3, starring Mohanlal and helmed by Jeethu Joseph, will hit theatres on April 2, along with Vaazha 2 which features a young cast.
