Paranthu Po release date
Paranthu Po, which has had a festival run before, is all set to release in theatres in India on July 4. The film will release along with another Tamil film 3BHK, a family drama. Paranthu Po marks first release in six years with his last film to hit theatres being the 2019 Peranbu featuring Mammootty.

The trailer of Paranthu Po was released by the makers a while ago. It shows a father and son's bond, about a young boy called Anbu who seems to live in a city but feels secluded and seemingly dissatisfied with his parents even as they do their best. As the son and father go on a trip, we see the family undertaking a trip to the village. The trailer ends with the father dancing, but his son pointing out that he did a bad job. Ram concludes the trailer by saying that the film is dedicated to all parents who want to prove to their children.
Paranthu Po plot
The film revolves around an adamant schoolboy and his financially weaker father who take a road trip away from the bustling nature of the city. They meet kind and humble individuals on their journey as they understand more about each other, and in process about the life too.

The cast of Paranthu Po includes Shiva, Grace Antony, Master Mitul Ryan, Anjali, Aju Varghese, Vijay Yesudas. Dia, Jesse Kukku, Balaji Sakthivel, and Sreeja Ravi. Written and directed by Ram, the technical crew includes camera cranked by NK Ekhambram and Mathi VS is the editor. Music is scored by Santhosh Dhayanithi. The film is produced by Ram, V Gunasekaran, V Karupuchaamy, V Shankar with banners Jio Hotstar, GKS Bros Production, Seven Seas And Seven Hills Productions associated with the project.

JioHotstar has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film. An OTT release date is yet to be announced. Jio Hotstar is also one of the producers of the film.
