Parasakthi, the upcoming Tamil film featuring actor Sivakarthikeyan, was in soup recently after a plagiarism case was filed on the makers alleging that the story was stolen. The case pleaded for the stay of release of the film. However, with only a few more days to go for the release, the Madras High Court has refused to do so, giving a green signal for makers of Parasakthi for its planned release.

A few days back, a complaint was given to South Indian Film Writers Association by one named KV Rajendram that he his story Chemmozhi which is about anti-Hindi agitations and riots, has been plagiarised by Parasakthi writer and director Sudha Kongara. The complaint was later taken to Madras High Court and said that he wanted a stay order on the release of the film. Subsequently, the court had asked the Parasakthi team to file their reply. In the lates, the court heard the arguments of both the parties on Friday.
When the hearing came on Friday, the Madras High Court, after hearing both the parties, declined to halt the release of film. This means Parasakthi is on track for release. It is scheduled to hit theatres on January 10, 2026, Saturday. It is coming a day after Jana Nayagan.

Starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, Parasakthi audio launch is set to take place in Chennai on Saturday. The event will be telecast the following day on television. The cast, including Atharvaa, Ravi Mohan and Sreeleela are expected to be in attendance along with composer GV Prakash Kumar.
Parasakthi is a period drama and marks Sivakarthikeyan’s 25thfilm. It is about the anti-Hindi agitations and will feature Atharvaa and Sivakarthikeyan as brothers with opposing ideologies. It is Sreeleela’s Tamil debut and Ravi Mohan is playing the antagonist.
