Paresh Rawal is finally back on Hera Pheri 3, and Priyadarshan has confirmed that the issue was resolved amicably. He spilled that the veteran actor apologized to him for quitting the project and that now things are back on track. In fact, Priyadarshan even confirmed that the iconic Hera Pheri trio Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty met and sorted out their issues. Here's what the filmmaker said...
Paresh Rawal apologized to Priyadarshan. He confirmed the same to Mid-Day in an interview and shared, "I was in shock when Paresh said, ‘Sir, I’m doing the movie. I have never had anything except a lot of respect for you. I’ve done 26 movies with you, and I’m sorry to have left the film. There were some personal issues." He further confirmed that both Akshay Kumar as well as Paresh Rawal called him to share that the issue is sorted. Meanwhile, he also denied the involvement of producer Sajid Nadiadwala and filmmaker Ahmed Khan in the patching up of Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal.
Now that Paresh Rawal is back on the film, Priyadarshan will write the script and commence the production by the end of this year. The movie is scheduled for 2026 release. The filmmaker believes that it would be hard to meet the standards set by the original Hera Pheri. He is still of the belief that Phir Hera Pheri aka Hera Pheri 2 was a bad film, mainly because it was adapted from the Hollywood movie Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
Apart from Hera Pheri 3, Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar have worked together in Priyadarshan's Bhooth Bangla. The actors are also a part of Welcome 3, titled Welcome To The Jungle, which also features their Hera Pheri co-star Suniel Shetty in a pivotal role. While Bhooth Bangla has wrapped up, Welcome To The Jungle was also kept on hold and is scheduled to commence soon.
