Iravin Nizhal is a project which piqued the curiousity of movie buffs ever since Parthiban announced it. Billed as the world's first non-linear movie to be made in a single shot, the actor-filmmaker roped in technicians like AR Rahman and Craig Mann to ensure that the movie stands apart in every aspect.

Amitabh Bachchan had presented the film's curtain teaser a year ago which provided a glimpse into the film's plot and making style. Its teaser, trailer and songs elevated the hype surrounding the project which was finally released in theatres on Friday.

Though the movie opened to positive response from critics, one among the reviews by a popular YouTuber has made Parthiban upset. The review criticized Parthiban's claim of Iravin Nizhal being the world's first single-shot non-linear film and questioned the actor-filmmaker's obsession with such tall claims.

The reviewer also added that the audience isn't concerned about such claims and that what matters to them is an engaging movie. Quite disturbed with this, Parthiban took to Twitter to express disappointment and said that the critics should have intimated him about the misinformation associated with the claim personally.

Parthiban also refuted the critic's allegation that his claims are untrue, and went on to question why he did not inform him about the disapproval over the claims when a special show was arranged for him a couple of weeks ago. However, Parthiban said that he respects the critic's view points as the latter is also a filmmaker who made a movie last year.

Iravin Nizhal was released along with three other Tamil movies on Friday, and its making style has been garnering unanimous response from the audience, too. Parthiban's next directorial project is the Hindi remake of his previous flick Oththa Seruppu.
