Parthiban's directorial project, Iravin Nizhal, which also has him playing the lead, has hit the headlines many times in recent times. Mani Ratnam launched the movie's first look posters a month ago and none other than Amitabh Bachchan unveiled the film's curtain teaser last year.
AR Rahman, who composed music for the ambitious project, was all praise for Parthiban for the kind of efforts the actor-filmmaker put in to make the unique film which is billed as the first non-linear single shot movie in the world. Its duration is said to be a little less than 100 minutes.
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is the latest person to have showered praises on the one-of-its-kind film. Parthiban took to Twitter to post a picture of him posing for a photo along with the Bollywood director and expressed excitement at the praise he received from him.
Anurag said that he had never watched a film like this and requested him to send a few previous works of his. In his social media post, Parthiban added that he was touched by the Gangs of Wasseypur filmmaker's gesture and expressed hope that movie buffs will also like his different attempt.
AR Rahman had recently informed that the audio of the film will be out on May 1. Iravin Nizhal is the first collaboration of Parthiban and Rahman. Both of them had plans to join hands for a film titled Yelelo a couple of decades ago, but it didn't take off.
Apart from him, Iravin Nizhal has two more Academy Award winning technicians working on it. Sound designer Craig Mann of Whiplash fame and VFX supervisor Cottalango Leon were also brought on board earlier. According to sources, Iravin Nizhal is about a 50-year-old man looking back at his life and making a few bold decisions for his future.
