The release of Silambarasan's Pathu Thala was initially scheduled in December, but makers postponed their plans owing to delay in post production works. The new date is March 30, and the team is looking forward to a huge release across Tamil Nadu.

Ahead of Silambarasan's birthday which falls on February 3, the team has now come up with an announcement on the release of the first single from the film. AR Rahman has composed music for the movie which has been helmed by Obeli N Krishna. Gnanavel Raja and Jayantilal Gada have produced the movie under the banners of Studio Green and Pen Studios respectively.

AR Rahman himself has announced that the first single of the movie has been titled Namma Satham. Vivek has penned lyrics for the song and Sandy has been roped in to choreograph the peppy track. Fans of Silambarasan hope that there will be regular updates on the project considering that its release is just two months away.

Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Teejay Arunasalam will be seen essaying pivotal roles in the movie which has Farook J Basha handling cinematography and Praveen KL in charge of editing.

Pathu Thala, the official remake of Kannada film Mufti, has Silambarasan playing AGR, a dreaded don who safeguards several people in his village. How he takes on a few goons who try to destroy their lives forms the film's plot.

The actor is expected to reveal about his forthcoming project after the release of Pathu Thala. Though he was supposed to play the titular role in Gokul's Corona Kumar, it looks like another hero is likely to replace him.
