Vineeth Kumar asserted that Dileep was the best actor he could think of to play Pavithran, the main character in Pavi Caretaker.

During the audio and trailer launch event for his upcoming film Pavi Caretaker, director Vineeth Kumar talked about how he approached Dileep to play the lead role. After the director saw the script and thought it was good, he said that Lal Jose had helped him approach Dileep. "Lal Jose gave Dileep a call to listen to the story and said that this is a perfect script for him," he continued.
"A long time ago, I was taken by my close friend actor Fahadh Faasil to narrate a script to Dileep. But I did not narrate," he clarified. Vineeth said that Pavi Caretaker required five years of work and hardship. They started writing the script in 2019, but the production was delayed for a number of reasons, chief among them being the Covid-19 pandemic.
The director and actor continued by stating that it took a lot of time and effort to find heroines who fit the parts. There are up to five debutantes in this comedy drama.
Dileep is a hardworking actor, which is hard to find these days, according to the Devadoothan star. He said that many young stars in the industry today must look up to the Thankamany actor as their role model. He declared at the event, "Dileep was with us in every step, relentlessly." He asserted that Dileep was the best actor he could think of to play Pavithran, the main character in Pavi Caretaker.
Dileep is funding this comedy drama, which is being directed by actor and filmmaker Vineeth Kumar. In his previous film, Dear Friend, he directed Darshana Rajendran, Arjun Lal, Tovino Thomas, and Basil Joseph in important roles. Netflix has it available for streaming. He made his directing debut in 2015 with the film Ayal Njanalla, starring Fahadh Faasil. The movie debuted to a lacklustre reception at the box office and conflicting reviews. As a young performer, he debuted in Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha.
