The makers of the Malayalam upcoming film Pavi Caretaker released its teaser today (February 15). Dileep is playing the lead role in the comedy drama, which is slated to release in theatres soon.

Recently released, the movie's first poster showed Dileep riding a roadrunner bike while wearing a blue uniform. The humorous events in the life of Pavithran, an unmarried middle-aged man who works as a caretaker in an apartment, are alluded to in the film's teaser.

It also explores his romantic side, which bears a passing similarity to his 2010 movie Bodyguard, which features an unidentified lover. The teaser promises the film to be fun-filled family entertainment, featuring a vintage Dileep showcasing his ability to deal with spontaneous humour.

Johny Antony, Radhika Sarathkumar, and Dharmajan are among the supporting cast of Pavi Caretaker.

Crew behind Pavi Caretaker

Actor and filmmaker Vineeth Kumar is directing this comedy drama, which is bankrolled by Dileep. His previous directorial was Dear Friend, starring Tovino Thomas, Basil Joseph, Arjun Lal, and Darshana Rajendran in key roles. It is streaming on Netflix.

Aravindante Athidhikal-fame Rajesh Raghavan has penned the screenplay for Pavi Caretaker. Sanu Thahir has handled the camera work for the film, and Deepu Joseph is the editor. Midhun Mukundan has composed the soundtracks written by Shibu Chakravarthy and Vinayak Sasikumar. Anoop Padmanaban and K P Vyaasan are the executive producers.

Dileep’s first release in 2024

After multiple box office setbacks in prior years, fans of the actor are expecting Pavi Caretaker to be his significant comeback. In this movie, Dileep also sports a classic appearance devoid of any oddball looks, such as his characters in Bandra or Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan.

His recent film, Bandra, in which he played a gangster named Alan Alexander Dominic, aka Aala, was not a box office success due to mixed reviews. The film, which is directed by Arun Gopy, is also yet to have a digital streaming platform.
