Payanigal Gavanikavum, starring Vidaarth and Karunakaran in lead roles, is ready for a straight-to-OTT release. The movie directed by SP Shakthivel is the remake of Malayalam flick Vikruthi (streaming on Netflix) which released in 2019. Venkat Prabhu unveiled its trailer from his Twitter page and announced its release.
Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, Masoom Shankar and Prem Kumar among others essay pivotal roles in the project which has been bankrolled by T Vijaya Raghavendra under the banner of All In Pictures, in association with S Senthil Kumaran of The Yeti Production.
What's Payanigal Gavanikavum about?
The movie revolves around the lives of two men who hail from different walks of life. One among them is a speech and hearing impaired person whose life revolves around his family, while the other person has just returned from abroad to get married to the love of his life.
An unexpected situation brings them together after which a seemingly harmless act from the latter lands the former in trouble. How the incident affects the lives of the duo forms the rest of the story. Vidaarth was last seen in Carbon while Karunakaran's last outing was Manmadha Leelai.

The film is releasing on aha Tamil on April 29. S Pandikumar has cranked the camera for the movie which has story by Ajeesh P Thomas and music by Shamanth Nag. RS Sathish Kumar and NK Rahul have handled editing and art direction respectively for the family drama.
Apart from the lead cast, RJ Sarithran, Kavithalaya Krishnan, RS Shivaji, Moonar Ramesh, Ramachandran and Rekha Sivan among others enact key roles in the film.
