John Cena’s upcoming HBO Max series Peacemaker had dropped its trailer on Saturday night. The three-minute long clip revealed that the eight-episode show will be out on January 13, 2022.
The trailer, which is loud on action and comedy, reprises John’s character Christopher Smith, who is popularly known as Peacemaker. The character rose to fame after debuting in director James Gunn’s show The Suicide Sqaud, earlier this year. Peacemaker will journey us along with Christopher in his aftermath events of The Suicide Squad. The audience are already curious to know what is inside the box, as The Suicide Squad ended as the character got killed for betraying his team. Now the trailer has unveiled him once again, many assume that the opposite has happened with Christopher.
Peacemaker features Danielle Brooke as Leota Adebayo, while Jennifer Holland will be reprising her role of Emilia Harcourt from the parent show. Steve Agee will also be appearing in his reprise role as Economos, while Freddie Stroma will be seen as Vigilante, Chukwudi Iwuji as Murn and Robert Patrick as Peacemaker’s father Auggie Smith.
Written by James Gunn, the five of the eight episodes are also directed by him. Jody Hill, who is popular for Eastbound and Down has joined Gunn as director, while the show is produced by Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company, along with Warner Bros. Television.
