Pearl V Puri is gearing up to make his Bollywood debut. After making a mark for himself in the TV space, the actor is ready to venture into films. Yaariyan 2 will be his big-screen debut. Pearl essays the role of Bajrang Das Khatri in the movie. As of today, the 34-year-old actor has been going out and about to promote his Hindi project.
During his Yaariyan 2 promotional spree, OTTplay caught up with Pearl for an exclusive conversation. While chatting with us, the actor revealed that being emotional has cost him in real life.
Pearl V Puri recalls experiencing 'fraud'
The Yaariyan 2 actor said that he is extremely emotional as a human being. Having said that, Pearl believes that a person ends up hurting himself/herself with that quality. He narrated a real-life fraud case that happened to him.
"I have been fooled several times. Once, I got a call from somebody saying my mom was admitted to a hospital and she was going through surgery. Like a fool, I transferred the money. I kept transferring the funds. Surprisingly, the person would send letters from hospitals, prescriptions, his mom's photos from the hospital, and surgery. Later on, I got to know it was a fraud. Vo banda gayab (There were no whereabouts of that man). His phone was off and there was no real person by his name," he told OTTplay.
'A lot of people did wrong to me but...'
Continuing the conversation, Pearl quipped, "Several such cases have happened to me. But it is okay. A lot of people did wrong to me but it never changed me as a person. I am still the same. Now, I take care and investigate a little more so that they don't make a fool out of me. Whosoever I meet now, even spiritual gurus, I tell them to guide me on how not to be so emotional."

Pearl's upcoming movie, Yaariyan 2, is directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. Also starring Meezaan Jafri and Divya Khosla Kumar, the film is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 20, 2023.
