Ever since it was announced that Vijay will appear in an interview, fans of the star have been eagerly waiting for its telecast. The last time he appeared in an interview was almost a decade ago. Nelson Dilipkumar, the director of Beast, was the host for the much-awaited interview.
Among the many things which fans loved from the interview, one thing which made them happy was when he spoke indirectly about joining politics. After mentioning about the star's journey from Ilayathalapathy to Thalapathy, Nelson asked him about his plans to become a Thalaivan (leader), to which Vijay came up with an expression as if he had anticipated the question.
Initially, he tried to pull Nelson's legs by asking him back whether he dared to ask this question because the shooting had been completed. He then said, "People showered so much love to me over the last 30 years. It is the fans who made me Thalapathy. They, along with the situation, should decide if I want to be a leader. For now, I like to be the Vijay everyone knows."
Later, he was asked what he thinks of people who contested using his name and photos in the recent local body elections which was held in Chennai.
He said, "They approached me if they could use my photos for the election and I was okay with it. I am following their movements closely. I'm glad that many of them won the elections. I personally know that they are genuine in nature and are eager to provide service to people."
Vijay also added that he has been following current affairs regularly like never before and that he often feels the need for a change in a few sectors in our society.
