Perusu, the recently released Tamil film starring actors Vaibhav, Sunil and others, is all set to make its streaming debut. As reported earlier, Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Perusu and will be available from April 11. You can stream the film in Telugu, Hindi as well besides Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada, with English subtitles.

Perusu is a remake of Ilango Ram's Sinhalese film Tentigo, which released on the same day as the Tamil version. The film revolves around the death of a much-respected old man in a village, and the family’s struggle to conduct his funeral. The catch is that the family members are embarrassed after coming to know that he died with post-mortem erection.

Real life brothers and actors Vaibhav and Sunil Reddy play brothers onscreen as well, with the supporting cast comprising of Niharika NM in her Tamil debut, Chandini Tamilarasan, Deepa Shankar, Redin Kingsley, Bala Saravanan, VTV Ganesh, Karunakaran, Munishkanth and others. Perusu is produced by Stone Bench Films, Baweja Studios and Ember Light Studio.
Known Hindi filmmaker Hansal Mehta will be taking up Tentigo to remake in Hindi. The cast and cree are yet to be announced, while Sahil Saigal will serve as producer along with casting director Mukesh Chhabra make his debut as producer. However, it is not yet known who will direct the film. Karan Vyas, who has worked in Scam 1992, Scam 2003 and Scoop, will be in charge of adapting the film to Hindi.
