Escaype Live is gearing up for its OTT release this month. The series features Plabita Borthakur in a pivotal role, and the actress recently opened up about her experience working on the show.

In a statement, the actress talked about how hard she had to prepare to essay the role of ‘Fetish Girl’. She said she spent a number of days working with the director and the show’s choreographers to perfect the character’s body language, dance performances, dialogue and tone. She put in the foort to make sure that the character looked ‘effortless’ and ‘comfortable’ in her skin. The actress also talked about how grateful she was to be offered a new kind of character that she had never done before.

“It's the most challenging role I've ever played. It was tough to look at myself and act on a selfie camera”, said the actress. She said that although she had worked very hard on her role, it was possible for her to deliver a good performance because of the efforts of the crew. She credited the crew for making her feel comfortable on the sets.

In addition to Plabita, the series also stars Siddharth, Jaaved Jaaferi, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Swastika Mukherjee, Waluscha D’Souza, Ritvik Sahore, Sumedh Mudgalkar, Geetika Vidya Ohlyan, Jagjeet Sandhu, Rohit Chandel and child actor Aadyaa Sharma, amongst others. The nine part series revolves around the story of a group of content creators who battle it out to produce viral content for a competition announced by a new app, Escaype Live. Jaya Mishra and Siddharth Kumar Tewary have written the series.

Escaype Live will be available for streaming on Disney+Hotstar from May 20.
