Maa Oori Polimera, a mystical thriller revolving around peculiar deaths, dug deep into the world of superstitions, black magic, entertained audiences immensely on the digital medium. The film was a direct-to-OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar. Satyam Rajesh, Kamakshi Bhaskarla, Getup Srinu, Baladitya, Chitram Seenu, Ravi Varma, Rakendu Mouli, Sahiti Dasari played pivotal roles in the thriller.
The sequel to the film, with a similar cast and crew, is gearing up for a theatrical release on November 3. The trailer of (Maa Oori) Polimera 2 was launched today. While the first part ended with a shocking twist around the motive of a pivotal character, the focus of the film shifts to an abandoned temple in the village, hinting at a battle between science and superstition.
The trailer begins with a news clipping of a mysterious incident - two dead bodies are found burnt at the same location in Mahboobnagar. What connects black magic to these deaths? A cop is out to find answers. An archaeologist follows him soon. Both are curious about a cursed temple in the village. There are references to human sacrifice and the nuances of black magic later.
The cinematography, backed by an equally haunting background score, are among the major highlights of Maa Oori Polimera 2. The film has been shot on a lavish scale in comparison to the prequel and is packed with intriguing twists and turns. In times when mystical thrillers are gaining popularity post Karthikeya 2 and Virupaksha, Maa Oori Polimera 2 certainly piques your curiosity.
Gowr Kriesna bankrolled the film under Shree Krishna Creations. Dr. Anil Vishwanath has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues. Gyaani has scored the music and Sree Vara is the editor. Kushedar Ramesh Reddy is the cinematographer with Upender Reddy Chada handling production design. Vamsi Nandipati is distributing the film across Telugu states.
