Ponniyin Selvan 2 star Jayam Ravi gives a sneak peek into the making of Arunmozhi Varman's look

Jayam Ravi recently dropped a video on the making of his character the Chola Prince Arunmozhi Varman on his social media handle from the Mani Ratnam magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan. The actor plays the youngest of the Chola siblings, the beloved Ponniyin Selvan in the film adaptation. The video that spans 41 seconds, gives a sneak peek into the ideation and conception of Arunmozhi Varman's look and how the trials and tests were conducted. The short video shared the outline and the sketches of the look and how designers and artisans sweated it out to create the regal look.

While Eka Lakhani has handled the costumes, the hair and make-up is by Vikram Gaekwad. Jayam Ravi dropped the video on his social media handle and captioned it, "The man. The myth. The legend. The 45-second video of the making of Trisha's look, right from her hairdo to the fabric of her clothes, had gone on to become massive hits on social media. And now with Vikram, Karthi's and Jayam Ravi's looks, too, added to the list, fans are awaiting the BTS video of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's look, who plays Nandini Devi, the Queen of Pazhuvur.

The film stars Vikram as Crown Prince Aditha Karikalan, Karthi as Vanthiyathevan, Trisha as Ilaiya Piratti Kundavai, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Nandini Devi and Jayam Ravi as Arunmozhi Varman. Ponniyin Selvan, directed by Mani Ratnam, has music by AR Rahman, cinematography by Ravi Varman, editing by Sreekar Prasad and art direction by Thota Tharani. The film is jointly produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.
