The cast of Ponniyin Selvan, including Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Karthi, Trisha and Jayam Ravi, has been enjoying the promotional activities across the country. The team, which began their tour from Kerala, has now landed at Delhi. The capital city will be their final destination. They had visited Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai a few days ago.

The social media handles of Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, which have bankrolled the movie, have unveiled the picture of the cast who are seen posing for a photo excitedly at Delhi airport.

The team managed to turn heads during the press meets which were held at different cities. Mani Ratnam and AR Rahman were also present in a few of the interactions. The songs from the big budget project have already been lapped up by fans of Rahman and other music buffs.

Fans of Mani Ratnam are pinning hopes on the ambitious film to celebrate the comeback of the maverick filmmaker. He had attempted to bring Ponniyin Selvan novel on screen thrice earlier with different actors, but couldn't pull it off owing to different reasons. Having made the magnum opus in two parts, its second installment is expected to hit the screens after seven to nine months.    

Thota Tharrani's art direction, Ravi Varman's visuals and Sreekar Prasad's editing are a few aspects which movie lovers are looking forward to. Sarath Kumar, Parthiban, Prabhu, Jayaram, Rahman, Sobhita Dhulipala and Aishwarya Lekshmi are a few others who will be seen essaying notable roles in the project.

Kamal Haasan has lent voice for a few sequences in the film's Tamil version, while it is Mammootty for the Malayalam version.
