The speculations of Pooja Hegde and filmmaker Ajay Gnanamuthu collaborating on a film have swirling around for a couple of days. Reportedly, the two are to join forces, as it were, for a project meant for an OTT platform and as per the latest updates, the said platform could be Netflix.
Of course, there is no official confirmation regarding the same but according to the latest report by 'Let's Cinema', Netflix will potentially bring together the popular actress and the 'Demonte Colony 2' director for an exciting project.
Ajay Gnanamuthu, 35, began his journey with 'Demonte Colony' in 2015 and has essentially explored the thriller genre over the years with films like 'Imaikka Nodigal' (starring Nayanthara, Atharvaa, Anurag Kashyap and others) and 'Cobra' in 2022, which starred Chiyaan Vikram, Irfan Pathan, Srinidhi Shetty and others.
He has also opted to direct the horror thriller sequel 'Demonte Colony 2', which is slated to release in theatres in 2024. The film, which is currently said to be in the post-production phase, stars Arulnithi, Bhavani Shankar, Arun Pandian, Antti Jaaskelainen and others. Here's the trailer of the film:
Pooja Hedge, on the other hand, has been juggling between Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industries and was last seen opposite Salman Khan in 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan'. Though she is equally popular in all the aforementioned industries, one could say that Pooja is on the hunt for commercial success with her previous 4-5 films not faring well at the box office. One does wish to see her rumoured Ajay Gnanamuthu film to tap into the performer in her.
