Porkanda Singam lyric video: This melody track from Kamal Haasan's Vikram is an instant hit

The trailer and audio launch event of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan in the lead, was lapped up by the latter's fans excitedly a week ago. Now, the makers have unveiled Porkonda Singam, a lyric video from the movie, leaving movie buffs even happier.

The song composed by Anirudh has lyrics penned by Vishnu Edavan while Ravi G has lent voice for it. Soulful lines, minimal instrumental usage and heartwarming voice are highlights of the song which is likely to strike a chord instantly with music lovers and fans of Anirudh. Billed as an action thriller, fans of Kamal are now eagerly waiting to know where the song would be placed in the fast-paced story which has many twists and turns.

This is the first time Anirudh has composed music for a Kamal-starrer. Though he was roped in as the musician for Shankar-Kamal's Indian 2, the movie is yet to complete owing to a few reasons. Vikram, which has been bankrolled by Kamal's Raaj Kamal Films International, will hit the screens on June 3 in different languages.

Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Kalidas, Narain and Shivani Narayanan are essaying notable characters in the project which has Suriya playing a cameo.

Girish Gangadharan has cranked the camera for the film which has editing by Philomin Raj, action choreography by Anbariv and dance choreography by Sandy. Rathna Kumar has penned dialogues along with Lokesh while N Sathees Kumar has been at the helm of art direction.

Vikram marks Kamal's return to acting after a four-year hiatus. The movie's theatrical rights in Tamil Nadu have been bagged by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. The actor-filmmaker has a few interesting projects in the pipeline, including a movie with Pa Ranjith which will have a story set in Madurai backdrop.
