Prabhas fans can’t keep calm as Adipurush makers gear up for promotions

Amidst several rumours surrounding its postponement, the makers of Adipurush have stuck to their guns and are planning to release the film on June 16, 2023, as per schedule. This retelling of the Ramayana, directed by Om Raut, stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. The film, made on a massive scale, promises to offer a new insight into the epic.

Ever since the film’s ‘infamous’ teaser was out last year, the makers have been working day and night to set the record straight while reimagining the CGI/VFX segments and understanding what went wrong in the first place. Nearly two and a half months ahead of its release, Adipurush team is set to kickstart their promotions with newer enthusiasm across the country.

Could there be a better day than Sri Ram Navami to get on with the promotional campaign? Yes, you heard it right, the promotions for Adipurush will start on March 30. Producer Bhushan Kumar and director Om Raut sought the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi for Adipurush on Tuesday ahead of the promotions. The shoot of the mythological drama was wrapped up in the early half of 2022.

From Lava Kusa to Sita Rama Kalyanam to Sampoorna Ramayanam and Sri Rama Rajyam, there have been many films that have documented the life of Lord Ram from various tangents over the decades. Beyond the technical aspects, it’ll be interesting to see how Adipurush’s team has treated the epic, while trying to cater to new age audiences.
