A few days ago Prabhu Jeyaram had told OTTplay that his film Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam will have an OTT release only after its theatrical release. However, the makers have taken a sudden U-turn and have decided to opt direct-to-OTT release for the movie. In the recent chat with us, Prabhu said, "It's true that the film will release on SonyLIV as per the agreement. But it will happen only after the theatrical release. For now, our priority is to release the project in movie halls. We are yet to decide on its theatrical release date, though."
Arunkrishna Radhakrishnan is the cinematographer for the film which has music by Guna Balasubramanian and editing by Prakash Karunanidhi. The movie revolves around the life of a middle-class man, who aspires to bring a change in society by getting married to a girl who belongs to a different community.
But fate had different plans for him; he ends up marrying a girl from his own community. Later, he tries to uplift his community by making a film on incidents which happened in his life. The film will have 12 of its artists playing dual roles in it.
Produced by Sudhan Sundaram and G Jayaram under the banner of Passion Studios, the film which is billed as a social satire, stars RS Karthick, Rohini Molletti, Bhagavathy Perumal and Junior Balaiya among others in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, the third song from the movie, Mazhai Vara Podhu, was unveiled by Yuvan Shankar Raja earlier today.
Prabhu thanked Yuvan on Twitter and said that the latter's music has had great influence on him since his teenage days. He tweeted, "Sir..I m very much happy for u releasing my first directorial movie song ..ur music is always my teenage memory sir."
