Prachi Desai, who was last seen as a cop in the Zee5 thriller Silence…Can You Hear It? has been locked to star alongside Vikrant Massey and Radhika Apte in Vishal Furia’s upcoming thriller Forensic.The Bol Bachchan actress, who acted alongside Manoj Bajpayee in Silence... Can You Hear It? is excited to bag the role in Forensic. Desai said in her statement that she has always admired Radhika Apte’s and Vikrant Massey’s work, so she is happy to join the cast. Adding that she is eager to start shooting for the film, she said, “feeding off each other’s energies on sets while adhering to the story is what makes a film great”.
Furia, the director of Forensic, who is known for the Disney+Hotstar series Criminal Justice, appreciated Prachi’s ‘intrinsic charm’ that helps her blend in with the story smoothly. Happy to have her on board, he went on to add that the 32-year-old actor has a key role in the thriller, and that her fans will get to see her in a ‘fresh light’. Deepak Mukut, Varun Bagla, Mansi Bagla have backed the films under their banners Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. & Mini Films. The film is also co-produced by Hunar Mukut.
Speaking about Prachi’s casting in the film, they said in their joint statement that they were on a search for an ‘assured actor who would lend a depth to the story’ and Prachi fit the bill completely. Claiming the cast to be the key in a thriller so that every piece of the puzzle adds up to the whole picture, they stated that they took several weeks to search and find the right fit for the part which they finally did in Prachi.
Forensic is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film of the same name, starring Tovino Thomas as the lead that will be played by Vikrant Massey. Massey had taken to social media to share his first look from the film very recently and also announced the beginning of the filming. Radhika Apte will play the female lead opposite him.
