Pradeep Ranganathan’s Love Insurance Kompany without release date: Is Vignesh Shivan’s film delayed?

We had earlier reported that actor and filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan's film Love Insurance Kompany is set to release in theatres on September 18. Now, it looks like the film might get postponed, given that a new poster released for SJ Suryah's birthday seems to be missing the date.

Pradeep Ranganathan's LIK postponed?

Pradeep Ranganathan, who was last seen in this year's blockbuster success Dragon, has two films on hand. It was announced that his film with filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, titled Love Insurance Kompany, will see a release on September 18. But on Sunday, for the occasion of SJ Suryah's birthday, the makers unveiled a new poster which does not have the release date.

Directed by Vignesh Shivan and starring Pradeep, Suryah, Krithi Shetty, and others, the film is billed to be a romantic drama set in the future. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring music for the film. The poster features SJ Suryah wearing a futuristic eyewear as you see the two leads standing on each of his palms. The release date is nowhere to be seen. An official announcement is yet to be made.

Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude set for Diwali release

Even if LIK gets postponed, Pradeep’s next film Dude is set to release for Diwali. The film is helmed by debutant filmmaker Keerthiswaran, a former assistant of Sudha Kongara and stars Mamitha Baiju as the female lead. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Dude also stars actors Sarathkumar, Rohini Molleti, and Hridhu Haroon. Sai Abhyankkar is scoring the music, and it might be that Dude will be the young musician’s first movie album to release.

Dude is set to clash at the box office with Bison, the sports drama headlined by Dhruv Vikram and helmed by director Mari Selvaraj. In all likelihood, it is also expected that Suriya’s Karuppu will also join the Diwali release. However, the makers have not confirmed it as of now.
