The demise of Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Navas last year came as a shock to his family, industry colleagues, and movie-goers. The actor’s last film was Prakambanam, which was recently released in theatres. Kalabhavan Navas’ brother and actor Niyas Backer has penned an emotional note after watching Prakambanam.
Prakambanam, a horror comedy, released in theatres on January 30, 2026. The film, which stars young actors Ganapathi, Sagar Surya, and Ameen in lead roles, was also the last film of late actor Kalabhavan Navas. His brother Niyas Backer penned an emotional note on Facebook after watching the movie. Navas and Niyas are the sons of Aboobacker, a yesteryear actor.
In his Facebook poster, Niyas remarked that no matter how well he and his brother performed, people would say it does not match up to their father. “But yesterday while watching Prakambanam, I felt that he showcased father’s effortless performance in many scenes,” Niyas penned.
The actor said that Navas was to gift us several good roles from now on but departed before that, adding that he can’t even bear to think of it. He hoped that Navas children would be able to fulfil what their father could not.
Niyas also thanked the film’s director Vijesh Panathur and producer for giving a good role to his younger brother. He further said that Prakambanam is a good movie to be watched in theatres.
